RIO FORGE 256MB MP3 player

I plugged in my mp3 player into a USB 2 port in Vista X64 and the system recognized it as a Forge, but any attempt to access it from RIO Manager, Windows Media Player 11, or as a drive from the "My Computer" window ended up with the computer hung up trying to read the drive. The status display in the Forge showed when it was connected to the USB port and showed it was being read by the computer. -- I''m Down the Tubes with the whales!

My Rio S35S works on Vista 32-bit with the supplied Rio CD. "rabuf" wrote in message

It works on my installation of Vista X86 also. I haven't tried loading the Rio Music Manager on the Vista X86 version. It loaded all right on the X64 version, But the MP3 player didn't. -- I''m Down the Tubes with the whales!
